Disclosure Armand Van Helden: Holy Ship! (Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, January 4): Holy Ship! is an EDM pleasure cruise through the Bahamas, which sailed twice in 2015, and these boat rides were ripe with b2b sets, featuring pairings like A Trak Craze and Skrillex Kaskade. One key to a successful b2b is the element of surprise, the idea that even a successful DJ could have his/her usual rhythms disrupted, and strikes off into new mixing territory. Too often though, it works the other way: DJs conservatively spinning the usual sets, in short alternate blocks, never building to a collaborative arc.
This was all part of the experiment. If the students could find a way to game the system, then so would the banks in the real world. If the students found a flaw, or if the auction didn’t work as designed, this experiment could become very expensive for the university.
The majority of the exhibition space is underground. On the bottom level, museumgoers will find themselves in literal and metaphorical darkness: slavery. Then, as they ascend, visitors move through exhibits exploring the Jim Crow era and the civil rights movement, until finally reaching light and joy above ground galleries devoted to culture, music, dance, literature..
Despite antipathy from the broadcaster, the song went to No.3 in the UK charts in May of that year, though Horton’s luck was to be short lived, as was his life: he was tragically killed in a car crash six months later, aged just 35. With the help of Cincinnati DJ Dick Pike, who provided mawkish spoken word during the verses, they paid tribute to the day the music died some 12 years before Don McLean. The BBC tended to frown upon death discs such as The Shangri Las’ The Leader of the Pack and Ricky Valance’s Tell Laura I Love Her during the 50s and 60s, and behind closed doors it referred to Three Stars as a “nauseating piece of material”.
He got so freaking happy. Unfortunately he got it wrong and thought i was hitting on him. Which is fine i guess.. One of our primary goals heading into this year has been to start to open up the meta in order to better support alternate playstyles the positions you can bring a champion, the roles you can flex them into, the items you build game to game etc. Late last year we did a little testing on Morgana/Zyra to see if we could get players to even consider bringing them into the jungle. Not to dominate mind you, but that if a player invested the time it could be considered a viable pick in solo queue and not just straight trolling.
